About

Hello, I’m Carissa, a dedicated parent, certified 250hr yoga instructor, and a passionate advocate for inclusive well-being. With over four years of experience teaching community classes and events, I’ve discovered the transformative power of yoga, especially chair yoga, in fostering physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. As a certified chair yoga instructor and Reiki master, I am committed to creating accessible and meaningful participation in yoga and meditation sessions for individuals facing daily challenges, whether they be physical, emotional, or spiritual.

Currently pursuing a degree in occupational therapy at ECU, I am combining my practical experience as a therapy assistant with academic knowledge to enhance my ability to contribute to the well-being of others. My goal is to bridge the gap between conventional therapy and holistic practices, making wellness accessible to everyone.

I am genuinely passionate about creating a supportive space for individuals of all abilities to experience the benefits of chair yoga and meditation. It is my belief that these practices can be powerful tools for self-discovery, healing, and personal growth, and I am dedicated to sharing these transformative experiences with my community.

Join me on this journey towards holistic well-being, where we embrace diversity and empower individuals to thrive on their unique paths to wellness.
